  • 1.PURPOSE

    Fodenn has established the following guidelines to give you the best support and shortest turn‐around time possible.

  • 2.1 Warranty period

    All FODENN motherboards come with One (1) year warranty against defects in design, materials or manufacturing process including free labour and parts starting from the delivery date.

    Standard products manufactured by FODENN are covered by an one year global warranty from date of delivery. Products covered by extended warranty and cross-region repair services against defects in design, materials, and workmanship, are also covered from the delivery date. All of the key parts assembled into FODENN system products such as LCD, Touch Screen, Power Supply, and peripherals etc, will be also covered by the standard 1 year of warranty. All 3rd party products purchased separately will be covered by the original manufacturer's warranty and time period.

  • 2.2 Repairs under warranty

    During the warranty period, FODENN will repair all defective products, provided that they are returned at the customer's expense to an authorized FODENN repair center. FODENN has sole unfettered discretion to determine whether a particular product will be either repaired or replaced.

  • 2.3 Exclusions from warranty

    1.3.1 Product is defective after expiry of the warranty period,

    1.3.2 Product has been subjected to misuse, mishandling, abuse, cracks, defaced, scratches, dented or unauthorized repair, whether by accident or other cause. Such conditions will be determined by FODENN in its sole unfettered discretion,

    1.3.3 Product that are defective, as a result of “Act of God”( e.g. Lightning, Thunder, Flooding, etc, )

    1.3.4 Stand wear and tear results from normal use,

    1.3.5 Wrong configuration, parameter setting or software applications by customer.

    1.3.6 Data or system corruption resulted from virus attack or user applications.

    1.3.7 Product was not purchased directly from FODENN worldwide offices or any authorized distributors of FODENN.

  • 2.4 RMA Warranty Charges

    Please refer to FODENN Global Service office for various charges if applicable.

  • 3.1 RMA Acknowledgement Process

    a. FODENN will enquire all the relevant information of the defective product. Customer is required to provide all relevant information especially the item code, item bar-code serial number and details of the problems encountered, to FODENN- RMA Dept.

    b. FODENN will acknowledge the receipt of the RMA request and provide a SR (Service Request)/eRMA tracking number, through email for the customer to arrange the RMA shipment.

    c. Customer is only required to return the defective product without any other accessories (manuals, cables, etc.). Any other component that cause part of the problem may be included, but the customer must clearly indicate on the shipping document. Otherwise, FODENN will not be responsible for their return.

  • 3.2 Repair charges for out-warranty products or exclusion from warranty products

    FODENN will inform customer of the minimum handling charge for FODENN to proceed with the inspection & testing on all Non‐Warranty items. A quotation of the repair charges will be given to customer after diagnostic of the problems.

    The customer must sign and accept the repair charge or with an official repair PO, within the validity period before FODENN proceed with the repair process. Should the customer fail to confirm the quotation within the validity date or decide not to proceed with the RMA after our technical evaluation & assessment, FODENN shall charge the customer for the minimum handling charge and return the RMA item back to the customer without repair. FODENN reserves the right to withhold the product if payment / charges are not settled. FODENN reserves the right to dispose the product if customer did not settle the payment or fail to acknowledge the quotation within 60 days from the date of notification of the quotation.

  • 3.3 Returning of goods after repair

    a. The estimated Turn-Around Time ( TAT ) for RMA is approx. 3-4 weeks for FODENN product. For products not manufactured by FODENN, it will be sent back to the original manufacturer for repair.

    b. FODENN will attach the Technical Service Report ( TSR ), and ship back together with the repaired item to customer.

    c. Warranty period for repaired product is three months from date of repaired item delivery date, subjected to the same reported problem.

    d. If a product has been repaired by FODENN, and within three months after such a repair the product requires another repair for the same reported problem, FODENN will do this repair free of charge. However, such free repairs do not apply to products which have been misused, abused, or subjected to any unauthorized disassembly / modification; placed in an unsuitable physical or operating environment; improperly maintained by the customer; or failure caused which FODENN is not responsible whether by accident or other cause, as stated in clause 2.3 of the warranty document.

  • 3.4 Repair service for phased-out products

    FODENN will offer repair service for one year after the date of announcement of the phase-out product, subject to components or parts availability. The phase out announcement will be announced on our official website www.fodenn.com

  • 4. INTERNATIONAL REPAIR SERVICES

    4.1 FODENN provides in-warranty and out-of-warranty repair services for global customers. Before sending the repair to these repair centers, please notify FODENN so that we can help to facilitate the repair process.

    4.2 For overseas in-warranty products shipment, customers shall bear the freight charges for shipment back to FODENN, whereas FODENN will bear the freight charges and return the repaired items back to customer.

    4.3 Overseas 1-way freight cost for in-warranty products are only applicable to the original supplying locations and exclude Taxes and Duty.

  • 5. EXTENDED WARRANTY PERIOD

    FODENN provides a 2 to 5 years extended warranty service upon request. A formal contract of repair and warranty services is needed depends on each case. Kindly contact ADVANTECH office for further details.

  • 6. OTHERS

    FODENN reserve the rights to change its RMA and warranty policy without pre-notification. Customers are advised to get the latest policy document from FODENN office or to check with our sales or customer service officer.
